  Initial thoughts: Interested in the idea of a narrator.  After seeing the film Flee at the BFI last week.  The film is a documentary about a man escaping from Afganistan.  It is mostly set in flashback with the protagonist telling a therapist about his traumatic experience of people trafficking, stowing away at the bottom of a boat, the corruption of Russian police.  The film is mostly animated but is cut with photographs.  Further complexity is added to the film through the fact that he is gay, a fact that he has to keep secret.  In order to be given refugee status in Denmark he has to lie and say that all his family are dead. ( It is not enough for him to just state the attrocities that he faces in his home country)  This is not true and he feels guilty about his and for years is very secretive with everyone.  Five years after being given a home in Denmark he goes to visit his sisters also in the same country.   At the end of the film he is reunited with them and tells them he is g
